A novel of corporate and self discovery

I found this a difficult book to review. Not because it's not good, it is. But, it's different and that's what I liked about Defying Gravity.

Defying Gravity is a novel. It's the story of Tony, the "corporate entrepreneur" as he parents a new venture from inception (or conception) to birth. It's also a guide on how to develop the skills and strategies needed to become a successful corporate entrepreneur.

The authors have done a great job of writing a novel that keeps the reader riveted throughout and at the same time, provides a good learning vehicle. This concept has been used before. However, this is one of the best examples I've seen.

To define, refine, categorise and summarise (make sure we get the key points!), the authors provide a 3/4 page summary of tips and suggestions following major chunks of Tony's journey. This is where the management models and theories Tony is using (or not using) are pr�cised and explained.

If you enjoy novels about personal self-discovery, this book is for you. If you are looking for clues on developing as a corporate entrepreneur, this book is also for you. Either way, Defying Gravity is a good read.

More than a feeling....

I had the pleasure to meet the author at a recent conference and later decided to purchase her book understanding that the strategies utilized to create the system of accessing entrenched emotions (cellular memory) are 100% valid and eloquently understated throughout the text. In other words, the benefits are not cloaked in technical jargon or academic mumbo jumbo but rather real life case studies often from the author's own experiences. This enhances and in no way diminish the efficacy of the ideas and process.

I remain moved by the notion that mere knowledge is not enough. For those who are adventurers and seekers, this may as well seem familiar given that new information enters into our awareness and then we do not know what to do with what we have learned about ourselves. The knowledge is therefore not enough to affect the results that inspire the search in the first place.

The DNA of Healing suggests an unusual approach that is attuned to our energy bodies (where the emotional memories persist) such that simple responses and numerical associations to questions evoke the resurfacing of buried feelings that quite amazingly may not be our own. What this means is that we carry the memory of a potential lineage of experience explaining various phobias and unhealthy propensities that we simply cannot grasp and for good reason. The authenticity of the memories I tapped into created what I would describe as a daydream where I easily imagined what appeared to be embedded souls...many many many souls frankly... in a ritual of forgiveness that I gave to myself. Although the experiences may not be your own, you carry them with you so in this way they are a part of you NOW and these certainly impact your being and awareness in either positive or negative ways.

Though not a course in science or psychology or philosophy or any formal subject, the process utilizes information from many sources, including cutting edge energy medicine and ancient archetypes to provide a framework within which you may expose and neutralize no longer useful emotions that may be interfering with your life today. I highly recommend this book to seekers who aspire to become supremely well inner self managed individuals.

I have always held the feeling that we know more than we know that we know! Letting go of beliefs is definitely a step in the right direction and Ms. Ruby's guidance, for this seeker, has proven very effective and powerfully healing and clarifying which is the very point of this short book....

DNA is the celluar vehicle through which energy operates.

DNA healing actually works

I have been suffering from Writer's Block with a capitol "W" for
more than 20 years. I had my novel, "The Sex Changers of Tedawnis"
all written out in my head but whenever I started to write, I would
stop abruptly. It was like driving a car with the brakes on -- I
couldn't make any progress. Then I tried the technique in Margaret
Ruby's book, "DNA HEALING," and I am now writing at least an hour a
day using a Quikpad on the bus that I connect to my computer when
I reach home and the novel is three/quarters done. A little editing
and I'll send it to a Publish on Demand Press. I thank Margaret
Ruby,for making her knowledge about DNA healing available, I thank the manufacturer of the Quikpad, and I thank Amazon for recommending this wonderful life-changing book to me. I'll eventually be using the techniques in the DNA OF HEALING for other personal problems, but Writer's Block was the main one and that problem is now gone for good.
I had gone to psychologists, psychics and shamans to help me with my
Writer's Block over the years, but all they could do was inspire me
for a couple of days to write because their techniques did not reach
back to past life influences as Margaret Ruby's technique does, past
life experiences having the power to influence our DNA. Fortunately,
her techniques as taught in her book gives you the power to influence
your own current DNA for the better and removes the bad influences for
this lifetime and for future reincarnations. I can not recommend this book to highly as it has helped me more than any other book I have ever read with the one exception of the Bible. David Yasuo Henna Honolulu.

I own the 1972 5th edition of this book, which is approx 300 pages. The older edition is a thorough, practical coverage of the mathematics of finance with many real-world examples.

Contains a very thorough chapter on the mathematics of bonds. Anyone with an interest in finance and a serious aptitude for algebra would enjoy this book.

Creative and Fun

First, I have read all of Aimee's books, and they are all equally good . . . and they are all good. Here's what I mean by good. In the world of Kindle (and ebooks) where anyone can practically publish anything and does, there are plenty of amateurs. Aimee is not an amateur. Her fiction is well written, her plots are well-thought out and different, not just variations on a theme beyond the basic genre. And Our Sissy Husbands is no different. As with all TG books, some suspension of belief is required, but the same can be said for Sci-fi, Fantasy, etc.

There's something delicious about two wives who use their husbands' competitiveness against them. There's something even more fun and exciting about two wives who manipulate their husbands beyond the point of no return, and who gently, sweetly take over their lives and trick them into a softer, sexier lifestyle, all the while convincing them to do it to themselves. You get the sense all the while that the wives are enjoying themselves. There's a gleam in their eye as they pretend that this isn't what they want, but what their poor husband seems to want. This is reverse psychology at its best with two husband sinking fast.

All of Aimee's books are good. You can't go wrong with any of them. I have the whole collection, because I enjoy her writing and the different ways she invents to lead an unsuspecting man down the tender path. I will add that my favorite story of hers is actually in the compilation Ravenwood School for Sissies, but her short in that is just an appetizer. Here, and her other books, you get the main course. Well done.

Another pet peeve of mine is length versus price. I dislike paying 2.99 for something that is 5,000 words or less. I bought her kindle books at around 4 dollars, which is a little more than I like to spend for my guilty pleasure fiction, but they're all worth it. I would spend the money again, and I'll be waiting in line for her next book, because I think it will be worth it.

I purchased this book for my daughter, Sarah. She wrote in it and underlined words and left it a rag tag mess. After she passed away in a car accident when she was 16, I loved flipping through the pages seeing her thoughts and observations.

I purchased two of these books for different children, and each is using the book in their own ways to learn about the world in which they live. Not a day goes by that one or the other doesn't discover, on their own, something else amazing about the environment they occupy. Want to get your child away from the video games? Off the cell phone for hours at a time? Offer this book as a gift, and watch their knowledge grow page by page as they themselves become to authors of their own experiences in learning. These books are truly amazing, and do not have to be limited to children. Many bored adults who could use an inspiration that life doesn't have to be mundane can benefit from the use of this book. I recommend it for all ages and a book for each family member. If each one has his own book, discussions can begin at any time with everyone participating on different discoveries while the book has given each person the same suggestion for an 'assignment.' cool, if you ignore the garbage factor

The messy fonts kind of drive me nuts, but the content is inspiring and high quality. I'd be careful giving this book to a kid, since the author basically encourages you to pick up garbage off the street and bring it home. There could be some hazards and cleanliness issues there. I use it as an inspiration tool, since some of the quotes appeal to me or challenge me, and it does encourage you to open your eyes and see the world. It's cute, interesting, and clearly made with love.
